Android mobile app for security response teams

A response team that cannot find the location quickly can cancel out the value of an otherwise efficient monitoring centre.

GALERT’s mobile application gives field agents the operational information they need directly on the phone. Instead of receiving only a dictated address, the agent receives an assigned intervention with the monitored site, map context and current status.

What the GALERT field app provides

  • Map location instead of a dictated address. The monitored site is presented directly in the intervention workflow, with navigation support.
  • Instant dispatch from the monitoring centre. When the operator assigns an intervention, it appears on the team’s phone without an additional phone-call step.
  • Monitored-site information in one place. Operational details can be made available to the assigned team according to the configured workflow.
  • Arrival confirmation and live status. The monitoring centre can follow acceptance, travel, arrival and closure states.
  • Partial offline continuity. Already loaded intervention information can remain available when mobile connectivity fluctuates, with synchronisation resuming when connectivity returns.

Why it matters to the security company

Response time is a core part of the service a security company sells. A field app removes avoidable friction between the monitoring-centre operator and the response team, provides consistent status updates and helps new agents work with unfamiliar routes and sites more quickly.

Installation and use

The application runs on standard Android phones used by the company and does not require dedicated handheld terminals. Each agent has an account, while the monitoring centre can see active teams and interventions. The iOS version is currently in development.

Frequently asked questions

Do agents need special phones?

No. The field application currently runs on standard Android phones. The iOS version is in development.

What happens if mobile internet is weak?

Intervention information already loaded on the device can remain locally available, and synchronisation resumes when connectivity returns.

Can the monitoring centre see active teams in real time?

Yes. Active-team location and intervention status can be displayed in the monitoring-centre interface, subject to the configured deployment.
