Which alarm protocols and panels should a modern monitoring centre support?

Compatibility with alarm equipment already installed at customer sites is often the first practical question when evaluating new monitoring-centre software. A platform can have a modern interface, but it still has to receive and interpret the signals used across the installed base.

Standard alarm protocols

GALERT supports Contact ID (CID), ADM-CID, SIA and DC-09. These protocols are used to carry alarm and technical events from field systems into the monitoring-centre workflow.

Supported integrations

Validated GALERT integrations include Ajax, Hikvision AX PRO, Hikvision AX Hybrid PRO and U-Prox. Exact compatibility depends on the equipment, communication path and deployment configuration and is checked before production integration.

Why protocol support matters operationally

The operator should see a meaningful event — burglary, panic, fire, tamper, arming, disarming or a technical communication issue — rather than having to interpret raw technical codes. Consistent decoding also improves event history and reporting.

Do you need to replace alarm panels to change dispatch software?

Not necessarily. One of the main reasons to validate protocol and integration support first is to keep compatible field equipment in place while modernising the monitoring-centre software layer.

Compatibility review before migration. We validate the actual equipment and signal paths in your monitoring centre before defining the production plan. Request a technical discussion.
